I generally use two torps for ships at anchor, once in Scapa I found 3 Fiji's so I fired two torps at two of them and one of them sank quickly. On my wait out I fired my rear one and the other sank :D

Scapa is much harder in GWX, those blockade ships are tighter now. :D
But if you get detected in there you are pretty much dead. |
I just been, GWX second patrol, Oct 39. I found this.
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/5...0714391jp6.jpg As you can see pretty much the worst weather possible but that helped me. I got detected and DC'd but managed to lose them without serious damage. Not sure on the actual ship becasue at the arming distance i couldnt see it so i just had to fire blind, 31,000 tonnes though, revenge i think, and all with my trusty IIA. |

I just restarted my Scapa-attack, to see whether I could get more tons.
So I again sank the Fiji, and right after it a C&D class and a Troop Transport (worth around 20k tons in total). But the respons of the present war-ships (several more destroyers) was poor! :o All they did, was to hit their searchlights, and fire a few flares very random. Nobody moved, no attempt to raise anchor and rev up the engines. I waited in the neighbourhood for several hrs (had to see if I really sank all my targets). Ok, it was pitch-dark, with a dry thunderstorm overhead...but I would have expected more from the Brittish Navy, in '42. I didn't even have to escape on silent-running... Great attack-run, but a bit disappointing still. |
A Revenge class BB, but the weather was so poor I didnt even bother, I went to Loch Ewe and sank 3 BBs and a CV instead
