I think that the slower the ocean the more rock n roll .

Sea State
Sober,
I tried this; I also tweaked the separate sea state files in the scene.dat file from o.6 to 0.5. When I loaded the game I damn near got seasick looking at it. This is much more realistic. |
ok so i may be ignorant...but if i have this right..i run mini tweeker and load the tweek files..then change the scene dat. sea speed to 0.05 from 0.06?..i have to not move any files or the like?...i have never really used mini tweeker..it seems to have worked..or am i just blasted?:hmm: ...i really like the wave color sober...adds more depth to the seas...

Mini-Tweaker will create a backup of the original file (copy of Scene.dat) in the original file path. Move or delete the copy from this folder to activate the new settings. I suggest moving as you can then restore the original by renaming.

I looked at the web page but it was for CCleaner and I did not find a tweaker that would be used for this tweak for the ocean. I was wondering if I could get a link for the tweaker and then secondly would it be possible to explain where the file is in the SS3 folder and then how you used the tweaker to adjust the file?
Kindly, Flyby:o |
You can find the tweaker here...
http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/sh3sdk.htm Don't forget to grab the tweak files on the same page. The file you want to edit is called scene.dat and (IIRC) you can find it at the bottom of the data folder. Process - open mini-tweaker, load scene.dat tweak file, make the changes as in this thread, then save new value. Mini-tweaker creates a copy of the file you were working on (copy of scene.dat) just move this to another location to activate your changes. |
Whats 3d waves?
I modified wave speed via Mini Tweeker. It looks far better than original:up: |
