I second that! What you said made me remember the funny black 'T' shape that would appear in the first Flight Simulator - It was supposed to be a wheel when viewed straight down...:o

On the other hand, enjoy them we did - spent hours staring at a 4-color CGA monitor playing FS and also 688i - man, it was fun launching tomahawks into DDR and then trying to sneak out under the nose of those Akula's and other hunters - sigh!:yep:

I feel that pain Nemo...I still discuss that with my group of former Commodore buddies. Soon I shall order a copy of "On the edge: the rise and fall of Commodore" to read the full story of that wonderful era. I can't remember how many times I've vainlessly tried to explain why an Amiga was the better machine. Too few people got to know it, they were so used to having a pc at home.

When Amiga was completely out of the market somewhere in 1997-98, the president of Apple stated in an interview that he was scared witless of the Amiga. He said that computer was offering better performance, graphics, sound capabilities for less than half the price of pc/Apple computers... He was relieved to find Commodore's obsolete marketing strategy for the Amiga that had to "market itself".

But we know what it was like.:rock:
