Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY spam!
Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got spam in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it?
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... (Crescendo through next few lines...)
Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!

Hehe yes, especially with the quaint subtitling in japanese. An out-of-this-world experience.

Maybe we could have a future-Bernard-to-be a cook?
Or better yet: A toilette cleaner..
Having Bernard washing the dishes for lighting matches on skipper's foot? Priceless!:rotfl:

Sorry, no Pfc's in the Navy.

Sailor Steve 09-20-06 11:53 AM

But he said Sfc, or Seaman First Class.

GakunGak 09-20-06 11:56 AM

Seaman Half Hitch is the one I'm familuar with. He was the dummy sailor in all the naval comics when I was in. We used to call our screw ups "slipknots"

Sailor Steve, check your PM.

Hylander_1314 09-20-06 08:27 PM

SkvyWvr,

I never got to see the comic strips, but I do remember seeing the old cartoons at the saturday matinee, before the old cartoons were banned by our need to be politically correct, but I think you're right, as that was the name "HalF Hitch" in the old b&w toons too. But I'm going off memories over 30 years ago, so I could be wrong. But I know they had a repeating name for the character in those old training cartoons. You just don't see the Navy ones like the Army or Aircorps films anymore. Even my Bugs and Daffy WWII cartoons video is targeted against the Germans, with no mention of the Pacific.

Slipknot is really good too! (he he)
