If this had been some average Joe Blow of the street you would have never heard a word about it.He would have went through the system paid his fines served his sentance and been on his way and nothing else would be said about it. But you all seem to think that because Mel Gibson is on TV and a celebrity he should not be allowed to be human and should live at some higher standard that you set.Wrong..he is a person just like you and I..nothing more.He makes the same mistakes we do.Everyone here has been in one form of trouble in their lives at one time or another.Heck some of you have probably even gotten drunk and did or said some things you regret later on.It happens its called being being human.Just because he is a face on a screen does not mean he has to be any different or live up to a higher set of standards. As was said..he fell off the wagon in a big way.It happens around the world everyday..you just dont hear about it because the rest are not famous. |
taken from German satire magazine "Titanic" (translation by me):
"Gibson sets a good example" After Mel Gibson's remorseful confession of not being an anti-Semite but a problem drinker, Iranian president Ahmadinedschad has admitted that he actually has nothing against Jews but has an overpowering secret drug and alcohol problem. The membership figures of the "Alcoholics Anonymous South Lebanon" (formerly: "Hezbollah") have increased tenfold over the last 24 hours. :88) |

People give Mel such a hard time. But it doesn't change the fact that he's still white hot and sexy. Just ask my mom. Plus he has proven he can cry. Such a deep guy.

Sorry to bump but I had the giggles watching Mel's new movie trailer. :p

I guess his career in showbusiness is pretty much over considering most of the top names in the industry are Jewish. Spielberg won't be calling Mr. Gibson anytime soon for an audition I doubt. How would a Jewish actor or actress feel being around him now? What a shame. I never thought he was like that. I used to love his movies but now I would have a hard time watching any of them. Well his movies will serve one last purpose I suppose. I am out of charcoal for my patio grill? :hmm:

My favorite drunk PCH story concerns an incident with the director John Boorman, I believe it was. He and Lee Marvin were out drinking one night and Lee was too drunk to drive so Boorman went to drive him home to Malibu. Lee, however, would not get in the car. He would only ride on the roof of the station wagon on the luggage rack. So Boorman heads north up the PCH about 2:30 AM with Marvin sitting cross-legged on top of the luggage rack. He gets about 10 miles up from Santa Monica and gets pulled over by the Highway Patrol. The first words out of the cop's mouth: Did you know you had Lee Marvin riding on the roof of your car? |
No offense to anyone but i have a strange feeling that if he whould have mentioned any other religion other then jewish this whould be no big deal
