Oh - well - it wasn't 'down the throat'. I might have been mistaken about the 'bow shot' idea here. I've been talking about shots abeam, but that hit the bow. As for DtT shots, I never use them now that I'm man targetting and using dud torpedoes. You'd need to use a mag shot....it would be tricky. Back when I played with autotargetting and no duds, I went DtT all the time. It was easy - with mags set at the default (4.8m or so) depth I could get em from any angle.

If your shooting a fish at an oncoming destroyer. Particuarlly one thats banging away on active sonar looking for you, it's a down the throat shot :P
