Probably my number two game at the moment (in terms of what I'm actually playing), second only to Star Wars Battlefront. In terms of my entire gaming history though, I'd say SH3 would be my number 1 game. Red Baron 3D comes close, as do Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and The Last Express. I wish I could put Star Wars Galaxies in there, but although it had a nice Star Wars feel and gave me some good times, it was just too frustrating for me.

Other than the bugs with the external camera, and a few other tidbits inside the actual game model, it's a really outstanding game. There is definately a subsim in my top-10 list, and SH3 would be it (replacing Silent Service 2).

Within that top-10, it's probably around the 60 percentile; mostly because of the bugs.

I voted top 3; even though it's the one I play the most, I still love Red Baron and European Airwar.

Heh, top 100, because I honestly haven't given it any thought.

Actually, I think I'd rank SH2 above SH3 on my list.

I personally prefer intense encounters with capital class ships. That was easier in scripted campaigns. Plus, it is easier to assign medals and such for scripted campaigns. SH3 is a bit too free form for me. It's experience based rather than objective based. Each patrol either rocks or sucks on its own merits and stuff like awards, renown, tons, whatever, don't really matter.

To each his own, I guess.

I don't think I even have a list. I can't order games. Once a game is past its prime, it isn't fun anymore.

I could construct a list of fondly remembered games, perhaps, but at any given time my list of top games is probably only a handful.

First post for me here. I got SH3 2 weeks ago when I upgraded my graphics card. Over the last 2 weeks I have found that sleep is a very overrated thing. ;)

SHIII is my current favorite game. I would play it on full realism (and I still need to get this Grey Wolves thing, were my computer not currently dead) but being able to see outside the boat just adds to the fun factor much too much.
