1. 7 - 9 knots between the base and oparea.
2. Plan your actions before getting to the oparea = just look at the map and try to think, what are the routes enemy is using.
3. If operating near the coast, spend days submerged and nights surfaced = this is actually the very best way to keep your fuel in tanks. Even if someone here are telling something else. (Greenones?)
4. At oparea, allways drive just slow ahead when there is no reason to do something else.

Also best way to find contacts as you can hear alot farther then other means of detection.
