With GW, I hit a small merchant with 60 HE from the deck gun and it didn't sink :shifty: Usually, I'd save my torps for larger targets but now, with GW, I'm going to have to say torpedos.

Well, my first choice of UGM-84(D) Harpoon Anti-Ship missile wasn't in the list... so I went with my secondary choice of torpedoes.

It was possible, but not likely to have any luck. I was referring to surface targets.

On the other hand, multiplayer games had the destroyers stripped of torpedoes because so many DD skippers tried it.

I _love_ the whizzing sound as an enemy deck gun shell comes flying by. Also, that wicked sound as it hits the water beside you. I always turn and watch/listen to the fountain of water it makes. Ohhh...environment.

Torpedoes.

I really like the "compressing" effect of the boat it's hit.
