Take care. Hope everything is going to get better :sunny:

Damn, sorry to hear of it. I really trust everything works out for the best. Don't worry about it, it will. My thanks for everything you've put into your mods. You have actually improved upon excellence by modding this already fine game.

Ginger Beer 02-19-06 04:30 PM

Beery, I sincerely hope your fortunes improve, and that your website will be up and running again very soon. You've done wonders for this already excellent game, and everyone in the SH3 community owes you a big vote of thanks. :yep:

Best of luck to you!

Fair winds and calm seas, Beery

Best wishes. We'll keep your berth empty until you get back aboard, mate.

I know we all respect you for what you have given us, and look forward to more once things are looking up for you again.

Camaero 02-19-06 06:49 PM

Good luck man! I have used your great mods from Red Baron 3D to B17 2 The Mighty 8th and now SHIII! You have greatly improved each of those games to the point that I continue to have plenty of fun playing them.

Just on a curious side note, why don't you currently host the great B17 2 R&R mod on your website? It can be hard to find these days.

Anyway, take care and good luck.

I don't host it because (believe it or not) I lost the last version and I only have an earlier version  . If anyone can direct me to one of the later versions I made (wherever they might be found) I'd appreciate it, as I'd love to play B-17 II again using my R&R file.

Thanks again, everyone, for the support.

First, I need some technical data, as I do not want additional cost at the end of the month. So, if you can give me roughly how much bandwidth and webspace you need, I can look into creating an account for you on my resellers plan and host you for a limited time.(No subdomain, your real name).

I am not here to spam, so I will not ask you to put banners or links returning to any of my websites.
Just keep it clean and I will ignore you. Remember it is only for a limited time (2 to 3 months...)

P.S.
If you ask why I am doing this, it is because I need to have some experience in the hosting world before actually going into business next year. I want to see how it is before venturing in this vast and somewhat complex world.

Good luck in any case!

Sorry to hear about your job, Beery. We'll host your files for you and if you would permit, I'll send you a Subsim check for $100 to help with things while you're looking for work. Send me an e-mail with your mailing address, thanks.

Neal

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think it's necessary. My domain and website were only a hobby of mine so I'm not losing anything by removing it, and since all the stuff on there is mirrored by others (Subsim.com should have all my latest stuff in the downloads section) with any luck no one else should be inconvenienced by my site's absence.

My website still gets a lot of hits per day, so I reckon that after it disappears there might be some questions here - i.e. "Where did Beerymod.com go?" etc., so I figured that I ought to keep my friends here in the know so that they don't think I just dropped off the face of the Earth while giving no reason. The Subsim forums were by far my favourite haunt for a long while and I hope to be back here full-time one day when I regain my zest for SH3 or when SH4 comes out.

Wulfmann 02-19-06 08:19 PM

Sorry things are on a down note for you and yours.

Your efforts have made a positive improvement to all our SH3 fun and the experience would be less without them. You and your work are much appreciated by all here!

I believe you are wise to be taking this action at this time.

Wulfmann

At least you have got your priorities right.

Don't worry about us, just get everything shipshape in the home port before leaving on patrol again.

No problem, if all the files are found here at Subsim, I have no doubt it will always be available.
Good luck!

Neal, thanks so much for the offer! As I said in my PM to you, your offer has raised our spirits enormously - my wife was so touched that she got teary-eyed. Currently we're okay for a few months, and I'm sure we'll come through fine, but if we do get into dire straits and need to take you up on your offer, that would be wonderful.

Camaero 02-19-06 09:50 PM

Hey Beery, I have your B17 2 R&R 5. I think it is your last one but I could be wrong.

If you would like, PM me your email address and I will send it to you.

Let me know if it is not the latest version of it. Either way, It is truely some great work and I plan to go fly it a bit later tonight!

VON_CAPO 02-20-06 01:43 AM

The best for you Beery.
