Well, as I am using a realistic mod, the deck gun reload is about 2 min (realistic?) And if I accelerate the time to x32 the crew gets stressed...
So, I fire a torpedo at anything from Coastal Merchant upwards... Do you guys using deck guns use the 4 sec reload or what? |

Anyway, about the orignial question: Yes! everybody gets a one way ticket to David Jone's locker  ... even neutrals will buy the farm If they dare to look at me cock-eyed :arrgh!: (only sporadicaly). The reason? they may look innofensive but they're tommies just the same... tommies with radios :stare: |
I only hunt trawlers. Kidding.
I sink any merchant vessel I come across. In real life, the boats were under orders to sink ships as they came across them. Regardless of tonage, it was their duty. BdU may not have been too pleased upon hearing of captains passing up targets for vanity. |

This is how I work: (If weather premitts) Small ships= I'll work them over with the 20mm gun Coastal, small merchant = Deckgun or the 37mm Flak (works GREAT unmoded) Bigger and warships = Torp and deckgun Btw. If the merchant are armed you can use the deckgun as long range artelleri. |
20mm Flack - All small Coastal Vessels/fishing boats/trawlers/tugs/PTboats (untill all ammo expended)
37mm Flack - All Small Merchants/Costal Merchants.(untill all ammo expended) DG - All C2's/T2's/Small Tankers/Armed Trawlers/Corvettes/DE's/DD's (untill all ammo expended) Torpedo's - every thing else thats left (untill all ammo expended). |
"Sink them all" I say. Especially the little ones for they have radios and can easily give your position away. I've had that happen.
