Hi, I'm running a 6600 256RAM, and I'm having the same issues, but they seem to pass in time... maybe SHIII is loading a low res bar, and then a hi-res one... I dont know...

I'm going to roll back SHcmdr and disable Rub. Separatly ofcourse.
No results, I still have got the 'moving icons effect' :( .

Could be, it's about the same as JScones pointed out before. Still I think the problem is fixable because some 6600GT users don't experience the problem.

*edit*
installed driver v77.77: no results

*edit*
installed driver v81.78: no results :damn:

I have almost every mod ever made it seems but I don't recognize the scope being used.

It's included in IUB (Improved U-Boat Mod).

I managed to isolate the problem a little more:

*edit*

Pressing the binoculars or attack/observation periscope icon or F3/o causes the problem
(from that point on mappingrooms/icons/menu bar are messed up, especially crewmanagment. The radioroom and some other rooms are still ok, though.).

Pressing the flakgun/deckgun icon or F11/F10 fixes the problem (crewmanagment and mappingrooms are ok again). :hmm:

So it seems that stations where 2D and 3D are combined, will cause problems.

:ping: Please confirm.

By the way, I also tried a 'menu bar'-mod. Well... that didn't worked either. :damn:

In an attempt to fix my sunglare I fixed this problem instead. Apparantly installing the resolution files was the only thing I had to do.

So if you've got this problem too:

download the dx9res10.zip file from http://u-boot.realsimulation.com and install the files in the SH3 main directory (only 2 files).

!!!If you've got SP2 installed use the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 4.0 to circumvent some security issues(otherwise it isn't compatible). For instructions read this:

Quote:

Download and install the Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...y/default.mspx

After it is installed, on the start menu, go to "All Programs/Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 4.0/Tools" and run the Compatibility Administrator.

When the program opens, make sure New Database is highlighted under Custom Databases, and click the Fix button.

In the "Name of program to be fixed" box, type SH3. Now, click the browse button, and select the sh3.exe in your SH3 install directory.

Click Next.

Under "Operating System Modes" select None.

Click Next.

In the "Compatibility Fixes" box, check DelayDLLInit, and click the Parameters button.
In the "Command Line" box, type d3d9.dll and click OK. (You can click the "Test Run" button to make sure it is working.)

Click Next.

Click Finish.

Click the Save button, name it SH3, and click OK.

On the File menu, select Install.

Close the Compatibilty Administrator.

Enjoy SH3.
