I only return when all ammo is expended. Not much point hanging around after that.

I find a handy shipping lane near my patrol area, then just wait at high TC for the prey to come to me. Never run out of fuel yet.

Which sort of gave me the idea of fatigue being used to simulate food. Ive acutally made some progress on that.
