I didn't mean to argue politics in this forum but I would just hate to have enough people ask for these type of mods and deter future developers from creating games with sensative material. One guy actually said he would not buy SHIII if there was a single curse word said or written in the game! :nope:

Well developing games without swastikas or extreme violence fpr that matter is not really an issue of touchiness by the developers - both would be illegal for sale in Germany, for instance. :hmm:

Only the swastika thing is illegal. Extreme violence (blood and dismemberments) isn´t much of a problem, it´s legal to buy and sell uncensored US and UK imports here in Germany. You are allowed to buy them when you are at least 18 years old. They usually cost 10-20% more than the censored German version.

And why would anyone sane worry about a guy like that? :huh: :rotfl:

Really? Because in the US, it would be correct to say "sans politics," which translates to "without politics." But in French, I guess you gotta say it the other way...

i don't think it's possible to play games like SH2 AOTD SH3 etc etc without having some sort of morale dilema around this issue (and the history that goes with it) you'd have to be brain dead not to think about it--and in some small way it actually becomes part of the sim for me--as the u-boat commanders them selves were faced with this same morale dilema--we have the luxury of dealing with this is a game with no real consequences either way regardless of what we may think of feel about it- but in the same way it is there in the sim if you are open to the problem--

i don't mind wether that swastika is in the game or not--as this doesn't change the thoughts about the historical events- nor the historical events themselves--whever it is there or not it will never be "cool"

EXACTLY, recently we saw another glimpse of this as the BUSH War Machine brainwashed most of the US into believing that WMD were inside Iraq and that Sadaam was going to use them on the US if we didn't take him down <----All in the name of avenging his father BUSH senior who was one of the worst presidents ever and didn't even last for a second term (thank God). This is why I truely believe that a son should not be allowed to be a president if his father was one before. I think that at least one full century should have to pass by before any of the decendents could even be nominated.

Not that I ever favored Saddaam or his evil ways, but I think that-that battle should have been done and finished in the first gulf war and left alone after that. To use America's sons and daughters to fight a war for personal vengence is about as evil as it gets. May Bush rot in Hell right next to Hitler and Sadaam!!!

And yes, in french we translate "without politics" by "sans politique". And maybe we can translate it by "sans polémiques" :)
