AG124,
To remove crates, open the EQP file in the folder of your ship and replace the Crate, Platform, etc. entries with NULL. |
I've already done that - it got rid of weaponry and other small things but did nothing to the containers.
|
What ship was used as a base for remodelling?
|
BTW - This is the Coastal Merchant I've thought about making. She's a WW2 era passenger-cargo freighter beached a short drive away from where I live. I believe she had the same silhouette as in these recent photos - I'm not sure of the tonnage.
http://www.nvo.com/oncearockinc/nss-...lor%20kyle.jpg There were problems with the pictures, so here are some links, if anyone cares. http://www.eastwaters.com/kyle.htm http://www.hrgrace.ca/kyle.html http://www.worldisround.com/articles/12552/photo28.html Here's what she looked like in 1913. :o http://www.qpms.k12.nf.ca/603/ |
wow, shes really rideing high there
|
Oh, and the parent ship for the Rose Castle was the Liberty Ship.
|
Great jo so far!!
Can't wait to get her lined up in the periscope!! |
The 7,335 ton Lord Strathcona (below) is now under construction. The parent ship will be the Victory Ship. Unfortunately, it will be a while before I have any meaningful amount of work done, because of my University workload.
http://uboat.net/allies/ships/photos...strathcona.jpg I will also start the passenger-cargo vessel in the previous picture soon too (the SS Kyle) but I will have to guess the tonnage. Maybe about 1150 tons? |
Nice work here , for the passenger-cargo vessel i think from the photo she more looks like 1800 to 2500 tons.

OK, I'll try that this Friday when I go home.

http://www.qpms.k12.nf.ca/603/Specs.htm Looks bigger though. I think the Coastal Merchant would make a good parent ship. |
Think so, too. Did u ever had problems with Pack 3D when importing ur *.obj s to the *.dat ? i sometimes get this message:
" java.lang.NumberFormatExeption:For input string: "" " do u know what does that mean and how do i solve this to get my *.obj into the *.dat ? |
No, I've never had any problems at all. I'm using wings3d to edit the .obj files - are you using that too or are you using something different? I don't think I can help though - I am new to this.
