So that´s about 220€ if the currency calculator isn´t wrong. For 240€ you can get a high-end card, like the ATI X800XT.

im not sure where to find the info about the pc being compatible for a agp card?
Look at your invoice or board/computer manual. Post everything that could be important (mainboard type, power supply or PC model type if it´s a Dell PC or something). The power supply is very important, if it´s a small one (<= 250 Watt) you cannot buy one of the newer high-performance cards.

not in the book, its just crappy stuff about packard bell, is the info anywhere else?

There must be some kind of model number ("Packard Bell Super PC 12345" or something similar), on the front cover of the PC, the manual, on some sticker on the backside of the PC or on the original invoice.

No. Do you only want that card for SH3 or also some other recent games? SH3 doesn´t need a very powerful card, but other games do.

that card isnt any good then? :hmm:

kiwi_2005 11-10-05 09:45 AM

The GeforceFX5200 (not 52000) SUCK. The FX5200 are ok for stradgety games but not SH3. Geforce 5700 or better. Or Radeon 9600 or better.

That's ancient. Get a low end Radeon 9800, even with 128MB. Even that's antiquated but it's usually dependable.

Well, then buy, as kiwi wrote, the Nvidia FX5700 or ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. SH3 prefers ATI cards (less display problems), so take the 9600 Pro. It costs less than 80€ and it´s a very decent low-end card. If you ever want to play other recent games you should spend 30-40€ more and get the 9800 Pro. It´s quite a bit faster than the 9600 Pro.

9800 Pro for £92.47 incl. P&P.:
