first of all can we have the second part in english please

and the reason i dont load out UUV is because i see no point of having them waste of space to me unless im in the littoral waters
as i mainly play underice i optimise my boat for war and war only (ie shoot to kill as many as possible) a UUV cannot kill a hostile platform therefore i dont see a need to load them out

UUV wastes valuble space in my sub i dont like junk so i dont carry it

skhval dont realy carry that either dont like the weapon at all infact the last time i carried a skhval was when i was playing sub command and that was yonks ago in fact DW was still on the drawing board then!

i prefer the normal missiles and torpedos i know its a bit old fashioned but some times if its simple its the best way

:) Strictly English for vous Mein Kapitain. Les Rosbif sont arrives.

I think you play SP and that somewhat dictates your approach and weapon selection. I have learnt MP at the feet
of that great wizard RADM Fish who is a strong advocate of UUV use.

A UUV, sir is not ,and never has been, a 'waste of space' It is is a very useful sonar tool which I for one,
stepping anew into the relatively short sighted Ak, will continue to deploy effectively when I can return to MP. :hmm:

It will help to compensate for the Aks major sonar range weakness and 'blind' running !

A UUV can be the one thing that decides if you live or die. actually you waste alot of potential there if you dont use them kapitain.

@Bellman: wich fleet are you in? 3rd by any chance?

Kapitan 07-18-05 06:55 AM

il see about the UUV and what fleet ?????

Bellman 07-18-05 07:33 AM

:dead: :dead:

Did you say fleece Mein Kapitain ?

'Never send to know for whom the bell tolls...'

Kapitan 07-18-05 07:39 AM

what fleet flota you in ?

Bellman 07-18-05 07:53 AM

' when I can return to MP. ' would tend to indicate that I am not at present an active member of any fleet.

I have served in the Seawolves and am on the NCHQ roster. Active duties will recommence when circumstanvces permit.

For the time beeing its SP and mastering the Akula ! ...with all her faults.

Kapitan 07-18-05 07:55 AM

kool i love akula akula loves me i love akula akula loves me im going on :stare:

The thing about a UUV is that if you don't employ it correctly, it will be the death of you. So, it could be your best friend or your worse enemy. As Fish has stated in another topic, keep mind of the SSP when launching your UUV. The deeper you are, the best chance you have to avoid the TIW warning that tells everyone your bearing.

EDIT:

No one can argue against the fact that a UUV, when employed correctly, will give the sub driver the advantage against the OPFOR. For instance, as soon as the contacts populate my nav screen with bearings, I scan my sonar screen on those bearings to determine the threat level of the contact. The tubes are already flooded and ready to go when I complete this and..."Say hello to my little friend!"

Bellman 07-18-05 09:32 AM

Recently Sensei Fish said he risked 'losing my lead' by revelations about 'silent' UUV launching.

When pressed for more detail he took to sea and there have been few sightings since. ;)

 I tease - very probably its down to holidays. :sunny:

absolutly correct.
but hey, it would be cheating if it was all to easy and without risk ;)

I have a DW addict confession to make, while doing some mundane stuff online I noticed my cursor moving to the lower right hand corner of the screen, I realized that I was about to try to turn on Time Compression with out even thinking!

I got it bad…
