Weather forecasts are a mess. I was ready to travel the 1500 miles to Arkansas to video totality but ONLY if the weather forecast was sunny or mostly sunny.
Looking at the Arkansas short range ensemble forecast it’s nothing but clear sky as far as the eye can see! But then the Canadian ensemble shows 30-40% cloud coverage and the American ensemble shows overcast sky. They’re not even close to the same. I’m just staying home, eclipse is only 53% coverage but hopefully I can get some video of that. Of course Im facing the same issues here, the national weather service forecasts 30% cloud coverage which is OK. But then Weatherunderground forecasts 70% cloud coverage or worse. If its too cloudy my back up plan is to go to the beach and pout  |

That was the last time we were in Mexico. Going back there next month but to a different hotel. |

Even as I type this, Eich is busy trying to set the perfect scenery layers and weather conditions in Flight Sim 2004 so he can take screen shots. :yeah: If that doesn't work, I have a plan to re-introduce the joys of landing on aircraft carrier scenery. :D It only takes about 100 hours of seat time to get consistent and, even then, I can always say, "Yeah, but you didn't catch the 3 wire" or "It doesn't really get fun until you set a total overcast 50 feet above the waves plus a 20 knot cross wind". :hmmm: :D:O: |

Where the heck is Neal?
I hope he didn't freak out when his antlers started to sprout. :hmmm: Neal, don't sweat it. They'll drop off before sunset. Still, its Texas so don't forget to wear a blaze orange vest if you're going outside. :yep: Meanwhile, clear skies are still holding over Iowa but we're a little too far west by a couple of hundred miles so we'll only get a partial eclipse. |
This is SERIOUSLY gonna screw with my Nap time!!!
