Using jimimadrid's torpedo texture mod with Fotrsu 1.46, torpedoes are loaded successfully and they sink ships too. :O:

Hope you can get it to work with TMO BH. CTD when I click to leave port. Uninstall it, no CTD.

I tried now with TMO and it crashed also.

I have reworked the file, now the images are outside of the .dat File.
The crash happens because the .dat Files are to big for TMO.

On my configuration it works now with US and German side without CTD.

Please check if unzipping made a double jimimadridTorpedos Folder.

JSGME should tell you that it overwrites some files.

yes, JSGME does produce an alert for one file.
in fact, i backed off all of the mods except for the main FOTRSU mega, re-applied the torpedo mod, and relaunched SH4, but the result was the same.
this is s-t-r-a-n-g-e.

and...no double folders (like other mods :-))

It seems that the file with the torpedos images is not overwriten.
It is US_torpedoes512.dds

Look in your MODS\FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v1.7\Data\Menu\Gu i\Layout if this file is renamed.
In my Mod you should rename the file to this name, so that it will overwrite it.

that worked!
renaming TMSTor00.tga to US_torpedoes512.dds changed the graphics.
thanks, jimi.

now the bad news :wah:
my new torpedoes appear to be slivers. :har:
the graphics are set to 1920x1080.
is that the issue?

ok, well, Dark Waters has the same issue as FOTRSU.

there are two files in the DW Mod\Menu\Gui\Layout folder

US_torpedoes512.dds
US_torpedoes512_sel.dds

how should i rename the new torpedo files?

Would say, after looking at those... they look identical, in nature... the only difference I see, is in naming.

Make original .dds file for the jimi torps... to match "US_torpedoes512_sel.dds" in name, then rename another to "US_torpedoes512.dds" & drop both renamed copies into place where they need to be in the jimi mod folder...

Hopefully this is clearly outlined to be understood fully... :shucks:

This should resolve the issue... I'd imagine. :hmmm:

my reading comprehension is weak due to the fact that English is my first language.

when i re-read this post, i understood a bit better.

re-d/l your mod, patched it into both FOTRSU and DW and saw that it worked.

it's a beautiful thing. i can now recognize the differences in the torpedoes without click on them.

as my boss was fond of saying: you earned your pay for today.

Hey there KaleunMarco! If you still have some "odd" torpedoes in the bunker, or load-out when using this in FotRSU, we have discovered a date issue on some of the subs' upc files that (we hope) are corrected in the next FotRSU release. The dates listed are "backwards" for use and / or the numbering scheme of the loadout is backwards, and you would then probably find the "default" SH4 torpedo, which seems to be the G7a-TI in your USN submarine... We discovered this quite by accident when trying to find ID conflicts between Jimimadrid's Torpedoes, and FotRSU... :salute:

this is a surprise announcement!
i am in mission 34(?) using jimi's torpedo enhancement on top of FOTRSU and have not had one problem.
i'll review the dates for the torpedoes, though. thanks for the heads-up.:yeah:
:Kaleun_Salute:

p.s. jimi's mod did not alter any UPC file, so i am a bit confused.

The Balao is one, I think, later war, and you might notice that you have a strange-looking grey and red torpedo, and that is the G7a, a German steam torpedo... there are a couple of others with that type error, and most of them would be late 44 to early 45. The torpedoes will shoot, but they do have a strange torpedo "wake"...

The pictures will all look fine, except what might be in a couple of your torpedo tubes on the boat while in the office, or if you forget to look, out on patrol.
