A "moral" society would not have them, one would guess. That they are being had maybe means society is not as moral as some members of it claims. Or sexual liberality is not agreed to be necessarily immoral, as many religions claim. Also, society's norms and cultural rules on what is moral and what not, may be different in different places. If state simply forbids something without the crime argument being true, as the essay describes for the given examples, then this prohibition is not right in itself, but only means that some people, want to have and claim the right and power to order others what they are allowed to do and what not. And that - libertarian freedoms versus pesky state authority commanding people around t enforce their subjugation under state authority - is what the essay is really about. ;) No, this all is not about brothels and sexcual morality in the first. Thats an illustrating opener only. |

Just kidding I don't do that anymore ... they are unclean. I wouldn't mind witnessing to them though that what they are doing is bad for their health and that they are going to get old someday and nobody is going to care, but that Jesus loves them and wants to make all things right again for them. I do feel sorry for them :yep: |
I personally wouldn't visit such a place.
It isn't the same as I say ban it. Allow it, but under strict regulations. Brothels are allowed in Germany and in Denmark. In both countries there are regulations. Like the Danish brothels had to close during the corona lockdown. Markus |
A woman can go to a bar every night, accept drinks from people and choose to have sex with as many men as she wants and that's OK
But if she takes a dollar, all of a sudden it is an immoral act.:doh::doh::doh: |
In the early 90s, when I was stationed in Pearl Harbor, the main street in Waikiki was awash in ladies plying their trade every night. Right across the street from the police station. If you were young and single or if you were a Japanese businessman in travel, forget about walking down the street unmolested.

I'm not sure you really served in the Military if you didn't partake of the Ladies Services at some point.
:hmmm: |
Oddly enough, strip clubs or as they are called, " gentleman's clubs " are perfectly legal. One could get lap dances there or other, um, assorted services as the prices are commensurate with the level of services provided. Therefore, in a way, brothels are perfectly legal.

I read a lot and of course, this isn't my first rodeo. :D Strip clubs or things like that were never my thing. I can think of much better things to do with my time and of course, much better people to do them with. Quote:
I would imagine that's very true as I had relatives tell me of their time in Vietnam and the clubs not far from Subic Bay in the Philippines. From what they told me, it sounded like a zoo or that the circus had come to town. Quote:
In case no one told you Moonlight, you're not wrapped real tight. :haha::haha: |
