Oi!
First.... hello and is dang good to hear ur all doing ok. Sorry bout ur mum Admiral8Q, hope she gets better fast. My brother had it but not bad nuff to go to hospital. He’s recovered now.
Things were quiet here just outside of Chicago ...too quiet. So I went down to the local store and got a job...hate sitting on the sidelines when something going down! Hubby has essential job just being my hubby, 😁 but he also is electrical mgr at local essential hardware store. I gotta tell you... stores around here are packed. Ppl off work and paint is number 1 seller at Hardware store. Then lawn fertilizer kinda stuff, then bbq grills. Toilet paper gets wiped out quick 😄 at my store and so does meat section and frozen food...esp pizzas. I’m decorating cakes so I don’t have a lot of direct contact with ppl, but they’re coming in wearing masks and pushing their disinfected carts and still smiling just like usual. I’m going thru a bazillion gloves. I’m not wearing a mask-not cause I love danger, but cause I’m behind a counter and display case. Hope you all stay healthy and out of trouble...ha! As if... Sharkey 👠 Btw....I’ve never seen so many ppl out walking their dogs. |

Here in Canada's smallest province things are so far (crosses fingers) going pretty good. Out of a population of 160,000 we have 22 cases but 6 of those are considered recovered. No deaths and no one has been hospitalized. All the cases have been related to international travel. All of the victims appear to be very conscientious about their travel history and self isolation. So far there has been no community transmission of the virus. But you know ... people are stupid and careless. A lot of businesses have been closed. All restaurants are closed but some offer take out. The local Tim Hortons coffee shops were places where old retirees like myself would gather for socializing and coffee. They are now drive through only. Lots of people are working from home including my wife who works in the insurance business. That's a bit of an adjustment for me.:O: I go for a couple of walks a day and I notice a lot more people are walking but everyone keeps their distance. I keep busy on the internet, playing guitar and doing house chores. I try not to worry. I have a brother and his wife and a sister and her husband who are all in the very high risk category. The toughest part of this thing is not seeing our two young grandchildren. But there is Instagram and Facetime which we use quite regularly. Here's wishing all the best to all SubSim members around the world. Stay safe, be careful and keep in touch. :salute: |

My daughter brought it to our attention and now the whole family can conference call at the same time. We also use WhatsApp. |

You know I am only joking jim.
I do recall you posted to be the wife's bodyguard. Just to show off your sexy new beefcake body. :03::haha::up: |
The first part is correct and we laugh about it now because she says had it of come about she reckons she would have probably lost her job.
On a more personal note, my sister-in-law has just rang to inform the wife that her husband (my wifes brother my brother-in-law) has been in bed for three days now with a high temperature. The advice from 111 is to continue pushing fluids and ring them if he experiences any breathing difficulties. |
Hope its not that virus.
|
You and me both :yep:
|
^ Hope he will be ok ! The advice from 111 is correct afaik.
When you develop any 'symptoms' like feeling sick, having raised temperature and all that but no breathing problems, drink a lot, stay in bed and keep warm! This includes the head (cap/bonnet?) and the throat (scarf). This infection develops in the throat and upper regionv and only moves down into the lungs after replicating up there. Helping the body to reach and keep the best temperature to fight the virus' rna is the best way. Just do not hesitate to call for help when it comes to breathing problems or the fever gets too high. |
Everything is Ok here at our ranch on our little island among other island in the South Funen archipelago.
And my cat is doing ok too. I haven't heard anything about my neighbours having got the Corona-seems like we could be free from it. Markus |

Re: Reporting in...
Reporting in from Grand Rapids, Michigan
Submerged deep, silent running to avoid the destroyers(Covid-19) & their depth charges... so far no damages, crew injuries or deaths to report... including the ships complement of rat catchers... aka cats Did get an enigma report of a crew loss on a sister sub, an older(aunt) crew member that passed... Awaiting chance to return to base for resupply. Be safe, while being aggressive... :Kaleun_Salute: |
