Non pollutant?

The generation of electric power produces more pollution than any other single industry in the United States. According to 2000 figures, the U.S. electricity production industry is responsible for:
62.6% of U.S. sulfur dioxide emissions that contribute to acid rain.
21.1% of U.S. nitrous oxides emissions that contribute to urban smog.
40% of U.S. carbon emissions that contribute to global climate change.
Among the other major environmental issues linked to electricity are water impacts, generation of wastes and the disruption of land uses.

You can keep your wonder machine. I'll use the internet to bypass traffic and have it delivered.

I want clean efficent and enviromentally friendly Nuclear power!

Or polluant if you want... as long as one can travel and bypass traffic.

Yet before they did that to prove themselves they were viewed (and still are - the biases regarding soviet equipment are still strong) as inferior.

What one sees is China following a simmilar trajectory.

Comrade, why don't you lobbey for 4th generation powerplants to be built in the USA or to close the fuel loop or to fix the industry?
