Why do you run Wine? I guess at least for Windows, but SH3 is no 16bit game. You are on Win10 - so why do you try to run the game in virtual XP? Your Celeron CPU is not capable to deal with Win 10, virtual XP and SH3 simultaneously. I refuse to do support for Win10... ... but deinstall SH3 (and the wrapper?), run CCleaner to purge the registry and try to install SH3 as administrator into C:\games\ and start the game. Try the compatibility mode for XP or 7 only if necessary (right-click SH3.exe\properties\tab compatibility). You've got DX9 installed - fine! - if it is from the SH3 DVD - make sure to get the latest DX9.c version from Microsoft. Your laptop is a low end office version with a very cheap CPU - it may not be possible to play SH3 on it. Edit: and if you are asked again for a DXDiag - there is a button to save the results to a simple textfile. Well - you found a workaround... |
i just gave up trying to run it in the virtual xp.
sh3worked fine with win 10, i just need to change the resolution by mod and its gonna be all ok. I noticed that sh3 just doesnt have the german speech folder, so if someone tell me where i can get it to paste there, id be very grateful. i tried to do that cause the host machine arent mine, so i created my own "computer" with virtualbox. thanks for the replies! |
changing the hertz on the video card sorted the problem for me.
It was on 59 hz when i had the problem, but setting the hz to 60 solved it. |
