I had the same graphic glitch (as well as poor framerate) both with TWoS and Sober's modlist. I use an ASUS RoG laptop as are you. I tried a few things after which the grapics looked normal and the framerate improved markedly and I did not have to change any of the settings. I tried the following:

1. Start the exe file in Administrator mode
2. Run the exe file in Windows 7 compatibility mode
3. Select NVIDIA processor as standard graphics processor in NVIDIA control panel (I use the standard NVIDIA settings)
4. Use Sober's antilag mod: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=2871

I use the standard high graphic settings and get a steady framerate of 60 fps. I do not know if the four above steps are all necessary, maybe some are complete bollocks. When trying to fix the issue I did a few things at the same time so I do not know which step exactly fixed the issue.

I have installed and deleted the game a few times switching between TWoS and Sober's modlist and each time with the above steps I did not encounter the graphics glitch. Every time I delete the program I use CCleaner to clean the system and the registry and restart my laptop before installing again.

At the moment:

1. The Wolves of Steel 1.05
2. The Wolves of Steel 1.05 - Update No. 13
3. The Wolves of Steel 1.05 - Real Navigation_by TheDarkWraith

I have also used Sober's latest mod list with the same results.

Don't worry too much about it, azsasincross. I don't even have SH5. Could you post some screenshots of the ships you're sinking.

First, real cool to hear you got that issue sorted. About the shadow. Have you updated the drivers for your graphics card, and have you looked around the web for info on that card VS SH3, if there are any known issues?
