In the first half of your life change doesn't happen fast enough. All the old stuff is outdated and there is so much new to try and experience.
In the second half change happens way too fast. All the good reliable stuff is questioned, new concepts may totally confuse the trusted way of living.
Happiness means to realize you have everything you need.
As long as we are constantly told not to have everything we need, it's hard to become happy.
Get the new, better, faster, more capable, futuristic, happy making stuff and you can be happy. Get more of it! Over there is something better! This is what you need! Buy that and you feel happy! This too! Get the electric soap dispenser, to never ever contaminate your hands again while washing them...
The happy countries are peaceful, very social and the taxes are high. To share with the community feels good and it pays back. It ensures everybody can have a pretty good life. Fair conditions for all and a cool temper are key.
