Marston's "Owd Rodger" country ale

My wife just brought this home to test on me and I can honestly say that it is beautiful! Mind you, it's an astonishing 7.4 per cent ABV and I did just quaff it down 5 minutes ago! "Brewed to a recipe believed to be over 500 years old... English Aroma hops and well water" Only £1.79 for 500ml at B&M Stores... start the car! https://i.imgur.com/d3aUlem.jpg (Also found with this different label) |

Holy Huge Pic Batman! http://newhollandbrew.com/our-beer/dragons-milk/ Beautiful stout. Gorgeous to look at. At $8.00 (US) for a pint draw I originally thought it a bit pricey. The first couple of sips pre-meal were nothing to write home about and i was disappointed. Then... After 2 bites of our pepperoni/ham/italian sausage/bacon and pineapple pizza, the next pull from the glass, HOLEY MOLEY!! The flavors exploded! The next 15 minutes of dining was one of the most pleasurable in my life, and the beer was the catalyst. |

Ozzie's 'Dragons Milk' made my mouth water, so I pulled out this bottle of Wychwood 'King Goblin' ale. I haven't opened it yet... my wife brought it back with the 'Owd Rodger' yesterday. She tried that and liked it so much, she went and bought four more bottles today. |
If that is made by Wychwood Brewery, I've tried and enjoyed that.

Yes it is. I opened it shortly after posting and it's very soft, dark and malty; not sweet like the 'Owd Roger'. Very nice ale.

Two from 'Aldi' Stores

4.4 and 4.1 ABV respectively. We tried the first one tonight after a meal of pork, toffee-apple sausages and cauliflower-cheese with spicy mixed beans... a lovely honey-flavoured ale. |
I've got a few of these in reserve for tonight....not too bad at all.

popped intp Aldi this morning for some frozen oven chips and came across this one: A-Hop-alypse Now
Interesting title so I'm hopeful the taste equals it. http://i.imgur.com/ki7SeAJ.jpg |

Wild Hare light ale
My wife found this in Asda (about £1.65) and it is WONDERFUL... strong (5 percent ABV) yet not cloying like a dark ale, or even most lagers. Much lighter and more refreshing, it claims to be dry but I detected a slight honey-sweetness. Beautiful!
