RIP Alan Rickman.

Alan Rickman was one of those actors who seemed to be better than the films in which he appeared. Where other actors would chew the scenery, he was a dry, almost quiet, presence and, because of that, he was often one of the most remembered characters of any film he graced. There was a film he appeared in with Kevin Kline, "The January Man", and he stood out as Kline's character's partner in a murder investigation lending dry wit to what would otherwise have been an average potboiler movie. There weren't many like him and there are precious few of his quality coming up the ranks. He will be missed...

RIP, Alan Rickman, and do try to be not too menacing to those others in the afterlife...

<O>
