So, I am still very puzzled for the second point...

Fahnenbohn, don't be disappointed. SH3 can be daunting at times on getting it to work properly. Back when it first came out we all had problems. It takes time but you get it all sorted out. Just be patient.

I played from the time UBI's patch came out for SH3 so we could run it with out crashing. It took me a few months to get the understanding of the sim, but finally I could play it and offer advice. I've been away from it for so long that I'll be a newbie all over again. I had the SH5 bug and switched over to it. Now I'm trying to get SH3 setup and return to the Silent Hunter roots..... and SH3 was the stepping stone for us all.
