I think this is how my former car was conceived :)

Two offroad trucks have intercourse and out pops an offroad car. :haha: :03:

Here's a transcript of a Q&A with the developer. :)

It was a midget :03:

The trucks really need a side anchor points for the winch.

How am I supposed to put them back on wheels apart from dragging them for half a kilometer until a freak stone causes it to flip on the wheels again. :/\\!!

Stealhead 06-17-14 09:23 PM

Yeah that would be nice. Another bug is the front mounted muffler for the Ural(what ever it is called in the game) it greatly increases the likelihood of taking damage up front.

Another over sight I noticed is logs if you use a crane to stick them in the mud to give vehicles something to get traction on they respawn.

Playing on hardcore i bogged the logging truck . Went and got a fuel truck and nearly wrecked that and now both trucks are bogged .

Bought it too after becoming curious and hearing lots of good about it (also regarding future plans).
I like it, although right now there's not much to do and everything's a little iffy... like damage and fuel consumption seems a little extreme to me.

What I have learned after 30 minutes of testing?
In Russia, truck drives you!

I am looking forward to what may become of this title... and asap camera re-work...

I actually like the camera the way it is . Makes it hard to see around tight forest tracks etc . Not sure what you mean by not much to do .

Like objective-wise. Right now we have wood to transport. Well great... for like a few times, then it's boring.

Of course the problems caused by the environment will cause additional "side missions" like pulling yourself out of the mud and I guess in MP its even more fun. Still... if this is all there is, it would be a little shallow, don't you think?

Regarding the camera, it feels bonkers and I'd prefer a first person cockpit perspective (which is in the works) anyways.
The more sim, the better.

Lets hope they don't grab the initial sales revenue and do a runner .

I don't think so

Edit: Doh nevermind, I see that LC already posted that link

Nah, Oovee are good chaps, been following them for years, since back when they used to do locomotives for BVE, then for Train Simulator and now their own fully fledged sim which seems to be doing well, I'm happy for them.

I do not think that the fuel consumption is that off really the typical tractor trailer in North America averages about 7~9 MPG under load at highway speeds.

I am fairly certain that a log truck would easily suck down the same amount or more under such conditions as seen in the game.

And those huge trucks the MAZ and the other 6 wheel drive I am guessing a 600HP or more engine that equals fuel guzzling machine even with modern technology it is very hard to have lots of power and fuel economy. Also some of it is for game balancing purposes considering the size of the maps. And the MAZ was designed in 63 when fuel reserves where not really a concern.

Edit: MAZ-543 has a 525 hp 38.9 liter diesel range of aprox 650KM http://www.military-today.com/trucks/maz_543.htm
MAZ-535 375hp engine or same engine as the 543 depending on when produced (535 is an older design) range ?

I hopw they add a few like the KZKT-7428 Rusich

Nippelspanner 06-20-14 10:22 PM

Yeah on second thought I have no doubts anymore...
I hope they will update this game a lot. The potential is gigantic and it is so fun in multi player... if alt+tabbing would not lead to disconnects and lots of other stuff that needs fixing/polishing...

Fingers crossed...

Definitely going to buy this soon. Just looking at the trailer, I was thinking, 'Wow, this looks like one of the most advanced sims of proper vehicle dynamics!' That, and off-roading is always fun haha. The dynamic terrain is a freakin' awesome feature. Multiplayer seems like it would be fun, too! I foresee always pulling my buddy out of the muck :har:
