This is just stupid.

What about all those ads about meeting singles? Google wants me to meet "100s of singles in my area"

I never turn on the setting that tunes the ads to my cookies/site data. That's just creepy and invasive.... Even still, "Hot Russian Singles" are ready to meet me.

Ad Block is my solution. :hmmm:

Google is NOT innocent here.

Quite a few swear words come to mind as to what I think of google :nope:

Double standards and hypocrisy by Google in my estimation but Neal doesn't really have a choice.

1984 is past. Forget Big Brother. Welcome to the future where Google is your Mother.* :-?

*With apologies to Scatterbrain.

Well, they're currently developing technology to autonomously drive cars, trucks and vans, fly commercial planes, perform surgery and operate call centers. Good luck finding a job someday--if your not some Lex Luther type genius.

I guess our future function as mortal dinosaurs is to simply go extinct, and let our technological wonders take the next step up in evolution and run the world and eventually the universe. Hey, they don't need oxygen or life support.

Got sick of their Cougar and other desperado ads, so just blocked google ads completely via my AV software.

Adsense? More like Nonsense.

The problem with ad blockers is that Neal won't get any revenue then to keep the site running. That's why I don't block them and just ignore them manually.

It does not take much to ignore an ad.

Indeed! Google has not been winning ALL of its battles of late; The main battle lies elsewhere and we're just on the down-hill receiving end painwise! http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/may/13/right-to-be-forgotten-eu-court-google-search-results " The top European court has backed the "right to be forgotten" and said Google must delete "inadequate, irrelevant or no longer relevant" data from its results when a member of the public requests it.
The test case privacy ruling by the European Union's court of justice against Google Spain was brought by a Spanish man, Mario Costeja González, after he failed to secure the deletion of an auction notice of his repossessed home dating from 1998 on the website of a mass circulation newspaper in Catalonia." :hmmm:

I am fairly sure that the ad needs to be clicked for Subsim to get any money out of it.

I have never purchased anything from a pop up or banner ad, nor do I expect to. Even if I was looking for that exact product, I would not click on the link, just for principles.
