Sorry,

I missed a post you did a while back

If i were you, i would start career with no mods in

Do the tutorial vanilla style, it don't take long

Then once you finish and dock, that's where the game auto saves, that's your 'bunker save', so exit at the bunker save from game, close it right down

With you doing that tutorial mission sinking ships and using map n tc etc you will dock (i use tc 1024 as game suggests and have a smoke (almost quit now :) ))

Then add mods, then u will see a different loading screen and moreover the open horizon as in pic i uploaded

Then start new career, this is now your Open Horizons career, if you start with OH and newui ok, then i suggest just exit game, close it down

Have a drink n relax, and read up any mods you want to add, check for eg : sobers lit of mods or sjizzles or just scan down mod forum section for ideas/inspiration

As you now are at bunker save and all but the toughest mods can be installed at this stage

If you want say Real U-boat Performance you have to start a new career for that to work properly (just using it as an example)

So when you hear/read a mod needs to be installed on a bunker save, that's all it is, it's just where the game kinda starts from and ends (if you know what i mean) saves during play are ok for a lot of mods, but besides mods needing a new career i wait until bunkered, exit game, install mod/s etc etc and relaunch game and go choose new mission/upgrades/set sail

Ok, with that info we'll take it from the top .....................

I hope you still have at least those 2 mods as they were when you got them lastnight

I use winrar so mine look like the rar icon (obviously)

Re-download the jsgme from here ...........

http://www.gamefront.com/files/24225407/jsgme_setup.rar

Don't save it anywhere near sh5 install

Unrar/7zip/winrar the blighter

Then use copy and paste it into the main sh5 directory (Fdrive/ubisoft/silent hunter 5

Now run that installer

It will open make a MODS folder etc, just follow prompts

It will sens a shortcut to your desktop (if you allowed one to be made)

Now open that shortcut and accept any options to get jsgme sorted

Once you've opened the jsgme then copy and paste mods in fresh, like above extract elsewhere then copy into sh5 MODS folder manually

Once mods are in folder, with jsgme closed then u can delete the actual installer (but keep for future, that's served me well for years)

Now try and add newui first, then oh2.5 (also dl the grid patch for oh2.5, not needed to test but need it for career when you start)

So now you should have a working jsgme via the good old installer method

Now with newui's and oh2.5 enabled on the right, close jsgme and fire up sh5 (i always use a sh5/exe shortcut to taskbar, Uplay will then kick in and select sh5 and off ya go

Lemme know how ya make out

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, thank you so much. I deleted the old JSGME and downloaded from the link provided and did exactly what you said. I then added open horizon 2 as a test and when I loaded the game the same menu as the picture you sent opened up and says open horizons 2. Again thank you so much and this is why I will donate to this community because of awesome people like you. Also I think my JSGME file I had originally downloaded was corrupt that I got from subsim so maybe Admin should update this in the JSGME section to prevent issues like this in the future. Again THANK YOU! :yeah:

Hiya,

Glad it's sorted

Keep that jsgme saved for future, and if space permits, while testing etc, keep your dvd copy copied onto a hdd, faster for re-installs

BLACK_FLAME 05-11-14 04:10 PM

Well do and again thank you!
