We move around der Golf von Biskaya sinking 20.000 tonnes of merchants and their escort. All torpedoes and 88mm shells used. Returned to base. BdU awards me Underseeboot Badge. My tonnage is now around 45.000 tonnes in four patrols. That is all.

The U-99 went down with all hands of the coast of Freetown. The U-99 sunk a passenger/cargo and two ASW trawlers before a 5 in. shell from a V&W Class destroyer ruptured through the conning town.
