All of our 'paper money' is now plastic. The new 5's just came out 5,10,20,50,and 100 all plastic.
You've seen those little raised dots on the Canadian paper money? (Braille) They are there because the blind got tired of being ripped off. Hey buddy, 'is this a ten? No, it's a one.' |

Paper money is I.O.U's for the lame person its not money and now they are going to replace real money (coins) with plastic. The Banking industry must be pissing their pants saying look at those jokers falling for another con. |
The Tories have managed to sell us the idea of a 12 sided £1 coin.
Probably at about £1.20 each. |
Reminds me of chocolate money at xmas :)

The big reason to switch to coins is they last longer. Canada switched to $1 and $2 dollar coins a while back. I just checked what I had on me and one $1 dollar coin is from 1987 and another one is from 1992. Typically a one dollar paper bill had a lifetime of about one year.

When you look closer...
...money is kind of stupid. In this day and age it's all just numbers in a computer system. But, our governments still insist on producing physical fiat cash that isn't worth the paper it's printed on or the metals used to mint the coins. The US government spends more $'s to stamp pennies than the objects are worth. :hmmm:

You leave them on the ground, then. I will pick them up. It only takes twenty to make a buck and I get some exercise while I am at it. :D
