Sorry for the late reply Lindley. Somehow I had overlooked your post :)

The probable reason is that you tried to "activate" the new emblem in an old campaign. Any change to u-boat upgrade files requires a campaign restart. I should have mentioned it from the beginning...

Nice screenie by the way, but I can't clearly see emblem's transparency from it. Is the horizontal welding visible through the emblem itself? Does their blending look natural enough?

Yes it looks good in my opinion.I get a bit of system lag using SH5.
I do not use SH5 as much as I did SH3.With all the great Mods plus Commander I found SH3 to be a much better experience.
I am eagerly awaiting the release of Wolves of the Kaiser:1914-1918 Mod :http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=156161.
Shells of Fury had great intensions but was a very basic game especially graphics wise.
On a side note many years ago an elderly relative on my mothers side told me of his Grandfathers encounter with a German U-Boat during the First World War. They live on an Island in West Cork called Bear Island.
His Grandfather was out fishing with some others off the coast when they were approached by a German U-Boat on the surface.
One of the crew spoke English and enquired about their catch and if they would do a trade for some of the fish.More interestingly he asked why the Irish fought with the Crown forces in France instead of with the Kaiser against England.

This story is quiet plausible many German U-Boats operated in Irish waters during the Great War.
Also Roger Casement had tried to use this to raise an Irish Brigade to fight with Germany against England.
