The only early access game I've ever got is IL2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad. It cost me $90, but it was well worth it.
And the only zombies I like are the Flood from Halo. |

HOLY EVER-LIVING CRAP! Who pays that much for a game without buyer's guilt? Are you going to be playing this 5 years from now? 7? |

IL2 - 1946 was released in 2006, still being played...but we'll see what IL2 brings to the barn, it looks, sounds and plays good from what I've seen so far, but the setting doesn't spark me right now.
Anyway, on this subject, here's a TotalBiscuit on early access games that I'm currently listening to which raises good points: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyGbbIB5eaM |
This episode of the Jimquisition sums up nicely my thoughts on the current state of many 'indi' releases on steam.

I'm not keen on the seemingly sudden influx of indie games thanks to Steam, but this thread reminded me I hadn't played DayZ for a while so I reinstalled everything (A2, OA, and DayZ = over 16 Gig to download!).
First zombie chase scared the bejeezus out of me, hairs on my arms up. The buggers can swim now!!! :o |
