It's better than 7Gb. :yep:

It's supposed to be faster too since they have more satellites up. I tried that demo and it was faster....but it was set up in town.

Even if it's the same speed but a higher data limit, i'll be happier than I am now.

My max. is 10 gig/month for $80.oo and then it is $0.05/ meg after that. My total internet bill for one month is usually $150.oo/month. The only thing cheaper is dial-up and that is super slow. I also use this stick with my laptop when I go on the road. I can't do ADSL, my phone lines don't support it. Can't do cable, there is no cable here.
It is good that you got something better, what with you bein' out in the boonies and all.

I bet you could get what I have wherever you are.

Just have to have a clear shot at the sky. Course, mine is unreliable during storms. :hmmm:

Good that you get better speed, though it is not optimal yet, hope you can get fiber cable

Is the satellite connection only good for downloading?

I'm north of the 45th parallel, a little west of the 79th in longitude and there is a full acre of pine trees to the south.

Better news on the horizon.

They're going to switch the plan to a 10Gb plan. Which is still better than what I have now.

All it took was an angry phone call. :)

Do not hold your breath. It is very common for people at call centers to blow smoke just to get you off the phone. You never know if they really fixed anything or not until you get another confirmation notice. As I said I worked for a call center before for Verzion and it was very common to get a call from a person who thought something had been resolved then you look at the files and whoever they spoke to before really did not do anything or lied. Some people think that talking to a supervisor solves things often it does not and usually they just swapped you to another regular rep. This is very common sometimes you just cant handle a person so you give them to someone else while your sitting on mute and cant hear things they tell the other person "pretend to a be a supervisor" I handed people over and was a "supervisor" many times.Even real supervisors often do not do anything if fact they cant at most call centers do anything that a regular rep can do service wise. I do not see how anyone can enjoy that line of work.I only did it for a 6 or 7 months myself and that was enough for a lifetime.

Even then you'll not know what you really can get until the tech shows up and hooks it all up.depending on how honest they are if you really cant get what you where sold they might say something or they might not.I f they suspect that the customer will be none the wiser they will hook things up and just not mention that you really cant get what you where sold.

Well, we shall find out.

Tomorrow is the day. :) If they screw it up, I'll personally drive down to their office and give them hell over it.

I'll make him an offer he can't refuse.

We won't sue if you do your job right. :03:
