I wasn't asking for any considerations like that.

I was stating an opinion, and if that ruffled feathers, I do give my full apologies.

I am not trying to offend or be a stick in the mud. I do appreciate the fine work that has been done here. I also would like to say thanks for even this site being here.

If i could afford to support the site with donations I would. I am not exactly new here. I had been a member here under another name. That was a couple of years ago. The name I used then CinC Battleforce.

I was venting i guess and for that I am sorry.

I use quite a few mods I have downloaded from here.

Things that hard to find elsewhere.

This site is a god send to folks like myself. On my income my games are the only internment I have most of the time.

When i can afford it, a donation will be coming to this site.....simply because it would be a shame to see this community die.

That all said, I offer my apology again to those I seem to have ruffled

Don't worry about it. You vented strongly and people reacted in kind. We do tend to be a little defensive about the site we love so much, and rightly, or so we think. As was pointed out, many here are willing to help out by sending people in need a disc with the requested mods on it. In the end, as long as people try not to overreact (which we all sometimes do) any disagreement can end up on a good note. From your last post I would say you stand a good chance of becoming a valued member here.

Oh, and WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:

Cowboy, there is no need to apologize, at least not to me. I know well how difficult it is to deal with a disability and the role that games can play in helping to keep your perspective. I do want to help you out and will do so as soon as I hear from Neal (or anyone else who can tell me how to make a donation in someone else's name.) There really are plenty of people at this site who go out of their way to be helpful. Hang around and meet some of them!

As far as I'm concerned, this is perhaps the best site on the entire web, gaming sites or not, and has the most decent, polite, thoughtful and helpful membership of any I've ever seen. I hope that Cowboy40 will dive into the previous posts to see what I mean. I'm proud to be a contributing member, and look forward to reading and (sometimes) participating in the dialogues every day. Subsim has become a regular part of my daily routine, and I want you all to know that your contributions in time, effort, and a little money are all very much appreciated by those of us who maybe aren't as knowledgeable in the ways of Sub warfare, or don't always share what we do know. Thanks, Captains. You are special people to me, and I salute you. :salute:
