If this is a planned "donation", a very humane and low risk method should be utilized to fully harvest everything possible.

I'll have a cocktail please...with Viagra on the rocks!:arrgh!:

While I agree that the Chinese "justice system" is an altogether different topic, I have to say that I don't take issue with putting a condemned person to death in a way that maximizes their post-mortem contribution to society.....

Seems like the least that should happen, really.

The Chinese probably practice execution via organ harvest. It guarantees freshness and saves money on ammo.

Organ Harvest?

Does this mean parents will be trying to outdo each other so their kids can take the better organs to school or church?

Heaven forbid :o

OK seriously - is there an objection to using organs harvested from the condemned? I mean, we put to death a number of criminals a year. Justice system questions aside, should we not at the least look to use those organs of the condemned to better the lives of others?

I ask this seriously, lets debate it.

Here in the UK I believe it would be a breach of The Human Rights Act if prior consent hadn't been given.

Actually that's covered in Magna Carta under beheadings, drawing and quartering and posting body parts to to points of the realm without proper refrigeration...not to include heads on spikes for instant crowd gratification on traitors gate at the tower where the twa' corbies are prone to the eyes!:arrgh!:
