Coastal patrols were what helped keep the island fortress free from attack and invasion.

True, even a good thing, but at least the pilots know how to track your position and course (I mean the behavior of the game). It's strange to be found three times a day, even when you're worried about changing your course (and not to leave long tails).

time's compression is not a reason. it may happens because of installation of mods in the course of career. if you established mods in career , it is necessary to keep separately the folder with a name of your career before patrol's start and to remove all saves, then start game again and copy the career kept earlier into save's folder.

It was discovered quite a few years ago during the development and testing of The Grey Wolves that anything above x128 had an adverse effect on the SH3 game engines ability to create a spawn protocol/action and to the best of my knowledge there has never been a solution found.
