Anybody seeking, and expecting, perfection from a computer game is bound to be disappointed with what they get. It's the modders that have made the SH series playable , not Ubisoft. It is Subsim.com that brings it all to you.:subsim:

Worst game ever? I can think of other games that take that top spot! :yep:

[QUOTE=Trevally.;2031413] Well if this post is your contribution so far:nope:
This post is now sounding like an attack on the modders and testers who have give a lot to this game and to subsim.

I guess that I'm supposed to "contribute" like you did with a nice blue face like this... :nope:

[QUOTE=Trevally.;2031413] Some of these mods you have just rubbished are part of a paid download to help fund this site:subsim:

Guess I "hurt" your modder feelings man....I can't help you with that. In any moment I was disrespectful to you or any full/part time modders.

Oh, let me put once again my contribution like you... :nope:

[QUOTE=Trevally.;2031413] Oh dear:nope:

nice contribution for being almost a "co-founder" of this forum....

[QUOTE=Trevally.;2031413] OMG a SH4 fanboy:nope

same as above? :nope:

How constructive you are Trevally, seriously. I wasn't rude with anybody. Just with the game engine, and if you didn't read the end of my message; well, it was asking for help.

V13dweller understood the point of my post and really contributed trying to change the way of thinking of an annoyed person who became very disappointed of the game itself. Not the modders...... Let me quote you again, it is really a constructive answer.... :nope: (I liked that blue face lol).

Sammi79 also got the whole point. I'm not a modder, I can't be one nor having the time and the will to be one and try to fix all the game myself. That's not my job. Modders do, because as already mentioned, they feel more challenging to fix all game'sfailures than completing the game itself. And I completely understand that (If I had the knowledge and patience to do that, I would be a modder too).

And maybe, I made a big mistake in here. The concept of the game is really good. (which is the same for SH4 and I guess that for the rest of SH versions). A good patrol subsim in which you can spend almost all day in playing and dodging a pissed off DD (that's really fun because; to be honest, sinking unprotected lonely ships, eventually gets bored):arrgh!:. So SH5 thematic is really nice. What I can't stand (and it is what I paid for) is the game engine itself.

It has more holes in it than a Gruyere cheese. Let me quote the SH5 mod community from the DynEnv mode:

"Known bugs and limitations:
 low precipitations occurrence, excessive medium fog occurrence, presence of fog even during wind storms, stars visible during foggy and/or cloudy nights, weather resetting to foggy after loading a save game (whatever was the weather before saving), and Navigation Officer reporting the wrong weather after a save game reload, are known SH5 limitations that cannot be addressed with the present mod"

That's kind of annoying and sad, even for the mod community. It's incredible that after, what is it? 3,4 years of existence of this game, its awfull engine or code, hasn't allow you people to fix that "little" annyoing bug (and many mane others). And I quote "little" because, as Sammy stated, I like to save my games whenever I want to (that includes a perfect patrol day, just 1000m away a nice big convoy) and then; wow! big surprise, I can't do that, because after loading it on the next day, oh carp! No more convoy because of fog?

Anyway, there's a lot of things to talk about in here, so many points to state, but it is not the time, nor the place or post.

So guys, I repeat ONCE AGAIN (:nope:) (lol) quotaing myself from the OP:

".... or if anyone knows a solution to these infinite issues

thank you very much xD" and I should add "to make of this subsim a more playable and enjoyable wonderful game" and to help changing a disappointed mind.

Greetings to everybody! :salute:

PS. I expect not being rude with anybody as I'm not an English native speaker.

I demand cookies, as the popcorn in this thread seems bitter...

On a serious note:

@op: Sorry that you have a bad experience. We, as could be noticed, as a community - disagree. Don't misunderstand, I see your point and agree that there are still many things that we all would like to be different/better, but we still like the game and all work towards achieving what we want it to be. Cheers to you and hope you find what you are looking for.

@rest of the guys: Oh well. Sad that the person is so disappointed. Nothing more to see here.

One thing that has always puzzled me is, that why write and post the complaint to a forum whose sole purpose for being is to make the sim/game better!
Sent the complaints to ubisoft!! We're a community of people who play these sims, Mostly the silent hunter series. It should not be a big shock by now, after 15+ years that ubisoft releases an incomplete game that needs to be fixed.
I have said this before and will say it again. I am thankful that ubisoft left the game "open" to modding. If it was a complete game, does anyone really think it would satisfy everyone? Certainly not. If the game had been truly complete, they still wouldn't have gotten everything perfect.
I still play Sh3 and 4, (I have a patriotic love of SH4...sorry) and the modders have done the impossible. Taken unfinished games and asking what the players want! Then tweeking the games to our liking. So...I'm going to say- Thank you Ubisoft for giving us these games to make whole.
My three and 1/2 shillings.
D40:up:
Thanks to the Modders again as well:up:

I totally agree with this. How much worse it would be if modders were not even able to change anything. At least we have a blue print hey?

:hmmm:
