Last week I got a patrol in middle of my career, when the game didn’t give me credit for 3 of 7 kills. And all three were finishing blows with my deck gun after the target was immobilised with torpedoes.

That can sometimes happen, only when you receive the message "She's going down" can you be sure of getting the due credit/renown.
