Fort McCoy, WI. He was senior artillery instructor there until his promotion to CSM.

Worth mentioning here is the career of Leo Major of the Canadian army in WWII.
This man singlehandedly captured something like 180 German prisoners in two separate engagements, and god knows how many he killed. In the latter, he drove the SS out of the city of zwolle *by himself*. Oh, and he did it after having lost an eye just days after the invasion of france. His reward for all of that? A DCM and a promotion to corporal. Frankly, this man should have been given the VC twice over and a spot promotion to general just for his gigantic balls of steel. |
Who wants to make Admiral anyway?
I hear the dive rate of an Admiral's desk is abysmal. |
I'm reckoning that was a bit of 'trolling for hollars.' :03:
Yeah, Captains or above didn't skipper fleet boats. But .... I wouldn't mind seeing a more realistic/accurate award system: http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/...ps105262f5.png |

But this is Navy, and I never was Navy.:stare: |
You're cool. A lot of people don't know how it worked. A lot of other people get sucked in and start reading every book they can find on the subject. It is, as they say, just a game. Enjoy it, and don't forget to ask more questions. :sunny:
