I had a circle run earlier. I was firing at escorts out of the stern tubes and as I was diving, a torpedo ran right over my bow. It was a close one. Turns out, I had messed up the TDC Settings and it ran in almost a circle and I had sailed into it....again.
Thank God it missed. I was passing 90 feet when it went over me. :timeout: |

I'm not trying to beat this into the ground, but you said you were passing 90 ft. which means you were submerged. That being the case, even at flank, your speed would not be nearly as fast as a torpedo. I think you had a Close Encounter of the CR Kind. |
What is that?
It was on my first boat with the USS Sturgeon. All I know is...in war...$#*% happens. I don't know how.... But it happened. (This is my 1001st post.) :D |
