Chad, the developer responsible for space parts is doing a space plane livestream:

Kerbolkon Stream can be found here:
http://www.twitch.tv/KerbalSP So far the only announcements are: Unity 4 and Linux support coming soon. Kerbalizer was released. Create your own Kerbol For Avatars, etc. http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/2664/80037065.png Sun is getting Touched up Submarine Parts may be coming Drills and resource gathering coming. http://kerbalspaceport.com/ KSP .18 marks the game as Sandbox Complete. Essentially means the tools are in place so they can start making the game more like a game. They talked about how space exploration and the telescope will work. You can see planets in your solar system and in other solar systems, but you'll have an unclear picture of them. As you send out probes you'll finally get information on them. |
.18 is out!
|
Time to crash their website!
|
Launched my first probe!
Aptly named: Probe I http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/7681/probei.jpg Forgot to put something back after I rearranged the probe for the RCS. Guess what. :O: |
RCS fuel. Not seeing electric power either. :hmmm:
* actually I do see solar panel. Blind as a bat. |
|
Righto;

It has 1 battery, it's just obscured by the probe. :) Wanted to test how one battery can cope before running out. Didn't even drain 50% if I remember correctly. It has 4 solar panels, however they can't track the sun. |
Arc's MK1 Can it be done is missing an antenna, Sputnik has 4. :O:
I have to say, this is the best update to come out for .18. It seems putting together a stable rocket, even with the added parts is much faster and easier to get handle. Also the ability to change staging in-flight is a definite plus. Quote:
C7 and N3X1S stated that it was un-crashable in a Live stream Thursday, the response was an unanimous http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7070/6...2509b3ab_z.jpg |

First satellite, Mun Mk1, succesfully inserted into Munar orbit. First mission was a scrub after the unit went dark enroute, getting stuck in Kerbin's shadow for too long. |

The old tried and tested 'Kerblas' design, undergoing its first orbital tests in .18, so far so good. :yep: |
Several successful orbits later, and with plenty of fuel still left in the tanks, Kerblas I de-orbits. After a few tense minutes when the deorbit path is miscalculated, Jeb manages to safe parachute the capsule into a field in the middle of nowhere.
Time for the first Kerbalnaut on this machine in 0.18 to exit from the capsule and proclaim his victory over the heavens!! http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/3483/whoopsa.jpg Or, perhaps not... :har::har: |
