Hum...having same problem here with my ZOTAC 580.
My drivers are 258.66. I know they are old, but have to keep them for other sim... Anyway, as Voltar said, new ones doesn't seems to fix it :-? Can live with those artifacts though, as they don't appear that often. But if someone has an idea, i'll take it! |
OP, try giving omega drivers a try. They're aftermarket drivers, and are pretty good. I've been using their drivers on both ATI and Nvidia cards since about 05' .http://www.omegadrivers.net/

I had a notice from NVidea that 306.**** is out and now downloadable. Maybe that might be a fix.

Nvidia does not support silent hunter in the 310.64 beta drivers ... a lot of games but sh5 no. I wonder if Ubisoft has to pay Nvidia for the support of the silent hunter? their wonderful drivers. What's going on here. Buy Gforce card wonderful man and a wonderful game ubisoft and enjoy the artifacts for 217 EUR. :har: BOTH GREAT PRODUCT!

@voltar
I'm also experiencing the artifacts and I think I can shed some light on the subject based on my observations. Note that the artifacts always appear at the center of the screen and always when you're rotating the camera. I believe that the cursor, which is invisible when you rotate the camera (that little hand which appears when you point at a clickable character) is the cause. When you move the cursor on the screen without rotating the camera, nothing happens. The artifacts appear only when looking directly up (like 90 deg.) or when looking at the horizon (when the cursor is invisible, meaning when you rotate the camera). Now if we can find a way to somehow remove the "hand" cursor from the camera rotating mode, i believe we could get rid of the problem. |
