Ahh, the classic "What do leaders do" question.
A opinion I often hear is, if you can't notice the leader, he/she is a good leader. For example, everyone curses the captain when the ship is going down, but when the ship is sailing smoothly, people don't really think of the captain. I kind of follow economic news, and my conclusion is, if you are a bad CEO, the columnists would be all over you. But if you are doing a good job, or at least a passable job, you don't really get noticed |
I answer the question posed in the title.
They take the credit for the blood sweat and tears of the proles who work under them. Then they cut our vacations, and sick days, give themselves a raise, then spend 4 months in the Bahamas. |
Oh oh oh I got this one

My old CEO was a 'flusher' , meaning that he had great ideas, hired some people and fired them after 6 months beacause they couldn't achieve his ( too high set ) goal. Then he would come up with something new and the whole process started all over again..
I managed to 'survive' for one year 3 months before he decided to give me a great compliment during his X-mas speech and fire me... Bitter? No i got a new job and i now work for a small family company 3,5 miles from my home and on Fridays i only work 5 hours. Irony is that the company i work for is a supplier that works for the company i used to work for and i got the job because of good networking. I survive, but CEO's...you never know what's next:dead: never leave YOUR future in their hands.. |
