Yes Bill it does . But because you have the dvd version you can now patch the game to the unofficial 1.3 which is a mod .

OK, that's what I thought! I have all ready started to pull mods down, at only 10 a day it I should have what I need by the time the DVD gets here, about 10 days. I am going with Sober's list of mods and, in all honesty, quite shocked at how many it will take. Thanks again! - Rick

Yes, I did and thank you but it's for the EU (European) version. I have a yankee-doodle (US) version so I assume there is something diffferent between them and not wanting to cause myself problems before I even get started I thought it would be prudent not to mix them. Perhaps, I'm wrong?

I would prefer to manually update my game as I'm a control freak by nature but there doesn't seem to be a v1.2 US patch anywhere. Anyway, I have pulled down the EU 1.2 just in case you or someone else tells me there is no difference.

BTW how does one know what the game is patched to? Does it tell you in the screen somewhere? -Rick

There is no difference..
There are only two types of patch - for EU regular version and for EU Collector's Edition version..

so 1.2 will play mods or no, i'm having a problem getting 1.2 to load the any mods. need to know if i'm doing something wrong.

I put JSGME into the data directory, then extracted the mod from it zip file and placed it in the MODS folder that JSGME made. i click to switch the right side so it's activated (IN JSGME). then open the game and still nothing???? :hmmm:

does this sound right to you's?

Put the jsgme.exe and the other files in "C:/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 5", not in "C:/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 5/data".
