I agree. There are some pretty looking planes there. But 20-50$? :shifty: No thank you. SkyUnlimited's 109E package was free. The very awesome F-15E Package by IRIS was free. Surclaro and Simviation have thousands of cool, free aircraft. :yeah: Yes, Accusim looks great, but the price doesnt. :nope: I cant tell you how to live your life, so dont let this ruin anything. :D

Whatever plane you strap that thing to will be my favourite.

Seriously though, I have a soft spot for the early carrier jets, F-4 and A-6 in particular. Healthy respect for the B-52, but it's not something I'd actually want to fly.

F-14 Tomcat for me. The speed, the looks, the firepower. Definitely my favorite airplane. Which makes me all the more happy that DCS/IRIS are making one!

No question about it:

Either an F-111, (but must be RAAF :smug:) or Lancaster.

Ooh! Forgot about Aardvarks (and Ravens), on a visit to some of the East Coast Ranges in the late '80s the staff working them always looked forward to them, even some suggestions of once one flying so low between the 'quad' - the observation towers used for triangulating the hit points - that it took out the phone cable suspended between two.

And obviously the good old dump 'n' burn is (would've been) a fantastic sight. :yeah:

Whoever said the F-104 was a "Missile with a man in it" with confidence, never saw a Mig-21

The F-104 was less missile and more lawn dart :O:

that is quite true, but, if you managed to keep it afloat, it was insanely fast

My vote goes for the Mig though. It's the only thing that keeps me from buzzing around in my prop planes.

In a straight line yes, but try and turn it... (the 104)

The MiG-21 was a deadly little sod, and a real pocket-rocket, heck some private Space guys in Oregon are looking at using a 21 to launch suborbital sounding rockets over the Pacific. The 23 was good though, enough to make the Pentagon hold back the F-15 to modify it. :yep:

F-15s are cool...... :smug:

Off topic funny bit of info- In the CFS3 PTO Solomon Islands add on, the enemy can fly Willy's jeeps through the air at you. Hilarious! :D

On topic- The MIG series, in my opinion, has put out some quality planes and some crappy ones.

@ Herr-Berbunch I like your sig.

TarJak 07-17-12 06:09 AM

My favourite is the one that lands right way up and not on fire.:D

Oberon 07-17-12 07:41 AM

Herr B has a sig? Doesn't show up for me...which is odd.
