Yeah for SHIV vanilla but I've tried all the possiable combinations and different start subs different start points both in the harbor or out at sea and I'm still getting a CTD, guess I'll just have to live with out RSRDC... :damn:

Oh man, I shoulda looked here, at Subsim.

There are some mods for SH4 1.4, including the old TMO 1.4, and some other improvement mods.

At the bottom, you can check the little box on how to show the mods, and have it organize them by file name, so it's easier to locate them.

Ok I downloaded RSRDC and installed the patch and the CTD fix and here is a pic of my mods folder

*snips*

And it crashes when I go to campaign i can chose my sub but when I get ready to start the mission and it starts loading the big blue ocean CTD everytime

Try removing the CTD fix, start a new career and see what happens. I glanced through my backup of 1.4-era mods and didn't spot the CTD fix in there, so it may not be a required file for v350.

ETA: Disregard, I found the file and it's required, indeed. Only other thing I can think of is try pulling all the mods, start a new career, see if the CTD goes away, then gradually add mods and repeat the process.

:hmmm:
If all else fails, maybe a fresh install of SH4 is in order, especially if you've been adding and removing mods.

Btw, RSRDC v350 was the last one for v1.4, so you have the correct version.

Hylander_1314 05-13-12 10:13 PM

Yeah, I will concur, when sealing with mega mod installs, and removal, it's always best to do a fresh install of the game, unless you have enough hard drive space, and can make a copy of the SH4 folder and stash it away on the drive so all you have to do, is copy it over and overwrite he existing one that was modded and unmodded.

Just checked, and you are correct, the versions of RSRD are not compatable with SH4 v1.4.

The only way you're going to probably find it, is if someone still has it on their computer, and will upload it somewhere for you.

You might want to ask that in a seperate thread. You never know! You might get lucky.

Alright well I thank you gentlemen, I will try a fresh install and I have the 1.4 version according to drbeast. And yes I'll admit I've been throwing a ton of mods in and out lol anyway ill reinstall tomorrow and if it still don't work I'm assuming it would be best to give up? lol thanks again guys!

Hylander_1314 05-14-12 07:34 PM

Okay, yeah, if you've been adding and removing mods, then it would definitely be a good thing to re-install.

And you're welcome!

Reinstalled with RSRDC and still CTD -_-
