Hi Zues. That old download link is long dead. I'll upload again and post the link. :)

I have just uploaded my More Frequent Weather Changes v1.1 mod for TMO v2.5 here:

Enjoy. :arrgh!:

Very cool! Much needed here...cause weather seems stuck to weather clear, no fog, 5 knots wind and direction 0...since 2 weeks!
Thanks again for that mate!

No problem. I hope it helps. But just remember that you probably won't see the more frequent weather changes until your next mission. So it's best to install this mod while in port. If you have the time, please report back here with your results after installing. :)

OK!

Well, after playing SH4 again after some time, I have to admit that I'm still not very satisfied with the results of this weather mod (and in Traveller mod). It just doesn't work well, as it almost always sets to default settings under any type of time compression, with little to no weather changes. So what I'm working on right now is a mod that changes all the campaign missions to have a better chance of very frequent, random weather changes. Yes, ALL the files.

Mercy......That's a lot of files. You plan to do versions for all mods...:D

Too many files. Lol.

Actually, I only plan on doing one set at first, and it will be compatible with both Traveller mod for TMO 2.5, and just TMO 2.5 with RSRDC mod.

Upon campaign testing with these new weather settings, I've been having much better results so far. I'm looking forward to releasing this weather mod in a day or two. :)

Bring it on! And good job sailor!

:wah: Finished my first patrol with TMO 2.5, and NO weather change...
Was waiting to be in base to activate your mod, but if it's not working so good...well, will wait for your future work to come!

Anyway, don't understand why the weather never change in TMO 2.5.
Completely unrealistic and immersion killer. Furthermore, with no waves/no wind, it's almost impossible to close big convoys even at night.

Back with TMO 1.9 + 1.9 patch + SCAF for 1.9 + Max Optics for 1.9, where the sea mechanics overall rendering and colors are the best by far on my rig :yep:

No worries, Fifi. I just uploaded v1.2, and it works very well. Please see the first post in this thread for more info. I guarantee you will have more frequent weather changes in this version. :D

Everyone please try this new version 1.2 out and let me know your results. Feedback is appreciated.

You mean, there is no "global" weather?

So, if I was on a "patrol X" mission, I would be stuck with the weather outlined for it, even if I finished the mission weeks ago and sailed 1,000 miles away?

I'm not sure I understand how the weather operates. :06:

The weather is randomized by running checks every so many hours. All I did is make these dice roll checks occur more often than before. Weather is still randomized, but the checks occur more often now. There is no 'set weather' in this mod. I've been playtesting a campaign with v1.2, and it works quite well. Please try it and see.

Fifi 04-02-13 10:19 PM

Ah, so it's working now?...cause in post above you said it didn't satisfy you :06:

V1.1 didn't satisfy me. I just uploaded v1.2, and it works much better. But please note- More Frequent Weather Changes v1.2 mod requires Run Silent, Run Deep Campaign v5.xx to work. It's a highly-recommended mod.
